Privacy
What we collect and why, in plain language.

What we store
- Your email and a one-way hash of your password (never the password itself).
- Your display name and role.
- Content you post: comments, questions, reactions, and chat messages.
- Messages you send through the contact form, so we can reply.
How we sign you in
We use a signed token (JWT) held by your browser to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser also stores small preferences locally, such as your theme and chosen reciter.
Outside services
To show scripture, audio, and word meanings, the app talks to third-party sources (for example fawazahmed0, alquran.cloud, Quran.Foundation, and Datamuse). Reading pages may load audio from those services. We do not sell your data to anyone.
Keeping data safe
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Access to admin actions is limited by role. We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no online service can promise perfect security.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete your account and the content tied to it, or to send you a copy of your data. Contact us with an account request and we will handle it.
